Why do prints from digital cameras
look better from Jim's Photo Lab?
- We are just that, a real photo lab -
not a kiosk or a computer company.
- We use real photographic paper (Kodak's
best - Royal Generations® paper) and we run that paper through
real (Kodak RA-4) chemicals.
- A human with years and years of
photographic printing experience prejudges each image on a
color-calibrated monitor. Photos from digital cameras look
as good as photographs from film at Jim's Photo
Lab.
- We adjust color, density, saturation,
contrast and more to make the
most perfect photograph of every image that comes
through our lab.
- We don't use inkjet, we don't use
dye-sub. Our photographs will not fade and they are on
the heaviest photographic paper made - there is nothing flimsy
about Kodak Royal Generations® photographic paper, and the quality
will show in every one of your photographs that we
print.

What else do I need to
know?
- The process is very straightforward -
The ordering page will ask you if you want to download and install
Softartisans Xfile* program - this allows your web browser to
mimic Windows File Explorer to add your photographs. Once
you have all the photographs that you want in the box, press "send
now" and wait patiently while your computer uploads your
photographs to a secure server.
- Once your photos are uploaded, a new
page will open with thumbnails and quantity boxes.
- At that point you can do more than just
order photographs - you can share your photos with anybody who has
an email address - just click the blue "share" button and you can
place up to five email addresses in a form. Those people can
now look at your photographs with just a mouse click. It's a
great way to show friends and family your beautiful images.
- You can also have us place all of your
photographs onto a CD for only $5.00 - no muss, no fuss and your
photographs now have a set of digital negatives that will last
forever! No more worrying about accidentally erased memory
cards!
- Once you have configured sizes and
quantities, press the blue "check out" button and fill out the
required fields - it's that simple and your beautiful photographs
from Jim's Photo Lab will be on their way to
you.

photo lab can make.
*If
you do not want to download the file from Softartisans, you can
click the alternate upload page - the only difference is that you
have to browse to each file one at a time instead of being able to
grab multiple files.
